CHESNUT, District Judge.

The jurisdiction of the court in both cases is by removal from the Superior Court of Baltimore City, a Maryland State Court. In each case the plaintiff is a resident and citizen of Maryland and the defendant is an Illinois corporation. Substituted service of summons on the defendant was made under the procedure outlined in a Maryland statute upon the Secretary of State of Maryland.
