Defendant appeals from a judgment awarding damages to the plaintiff in an action for personal injuries suffered by her as a result of being struck by defendant’s automobile. The plaintiff testified that she was walking with a friend westerly along the north side of Seventh Street, which runs east and west, in the city of Los Angeles, approaching the intersection of Hope Street, which runs north and south; that upon arriving at the east curb of Hope Street she glanced to the north and saw defendant’s automobile approaching southbound at a distance of about one-third of a block (this block was…
