I. INTRODUCTION

This matter comes before the court on the defendant’s motion for summary judgment. The plaintiff claims that his employer, Harris Teeter, Inc. (“the defendant”), violated various federal statutes relating to employee compensation, workplace discrimination and medical leave. See generally Am. Compl.
