Inspired by the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”), the National Association of Securities Dealers (“NASD”) and various state attorneys general investigations into the fee- and revenue-sharing in the mutual fund industry and subsequent settlement of these investigations, 1 Plaintiffs filed a 148-page Consolidated Amended Class Action Complaint (the “Complaint”), together with another 37 pages of exhibits, against Salomon Smith Barney (“SSB”).
