Defendant appeals from a conviction of criminal :tivity in drugs, ORS 167.207. He assigns as error the •ial court’s denial of his motion to suppress evidence ;ized in a warrantless search of a residence. The mtral issue, as we view the case, is whether or not dgent circumstances existed that would allow the slice to enter the house without first complying with institutional and statutory knock and announce re-lirements. We hold they did not and reverse defend-lt’s conviction. 1 Because of our disposition of this sue we do not reach the other issues raised by the ifendant.
