This appeal concerns an adoption that took place in 1969. In the instant proceedings, the adoptee’s biological mother, L.C.F., (“Appellant”) petitioned the trial court, ex parte, to unseal the adoption records. Appellant contended that she needed identifying information in the records to contact the adoptee, identified as Infant Sherman. According to Appellant, she desired to “bequeath her estate to her son,” and “very much would like the opportunity to meet with her only child.”…
