The plaintiff in error, Jackson, sued the defendants for hospital and doctor’s bills for personal injuries that he received by reason of being struck by an automobile on the night of April 2,1960, as lie started across a highway just south of the city limits of Guthrie, Kentucky. As a result of this accident the plaintiff was hospitalized and his hospital and doctor’s bills exceed $3,000.00. He was seriously injured.
