Estall Neil Dean was in the employ of Signal Oil and Gas Company, hereinafter referred to as Signal. An oil well owned by Capital Company became obstructed and said company contracted with Signal to clear the obstruction and Signal sent a crew in charge of Dean to work on the well. He was injured on January 23, 1943, while engaged in the work. Respondent Industrial Indemnity Exchange, hereinafter referred to as Exchange, was the insurance carrier for Signal and petitioner was the insurance carrier for Capital Company.
