The Bales Electric Company of Pitts-burg, Kansas, had the contract for the electrical work at the Sedaba Air Force Base three miles south of Knobnoster in Johnson County, Missouri. The company entered into a contract with Local Union 124 of Kansas City, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, in which the union agreed to furnish the company all necessary electrical workers.
