Defendant moves to quash the return of service in this case because it was not served in accordance with Rule 4(d) (1), Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, 28 U. S.C.A. following section 723c. Under Rule 4(d) (1) service on an individual may be obtained by delivering a copy of the summons and the complaint to the defendant personally, or by leaving copies thereof at his dwelling house or usual place of abode with some person of suitable age and discretion then residing therein, or by delivering copies to an agent authorized by -appointment or by law to receive service of…
