This appeal concerns the validity of a default judgment entered by the district court notwithstanding a defect in the service of process which allegedly deprived the court of personal jurisdiction over the defendant-appellant. Precision Etchings & Findings, Inc. brought the present action in the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island against LGP Gem, Ltd. (“LGP”).
