Kenyon Brady Clark filed this action alleging that his employer, Cache Valley Electric Company (“Cache Valley”), unlawfully discriminated against and retaliated against him in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000e-2000e-17. The district court granted summary judgment in favor of Cache Valley. It reasoned (1) Mr. Clark’s discrimination claim was based solely on his supervisor’s alleged voluntary romantic affiliation with a female subordinate, and therefore failed to state a claim for relief under Title VII;…
