The appellant was found guilty, in accordance with his negotiated pleas, of a two-day absence without leave, violation of a Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base Order — alleged to be a general order — by wrongfully possessing and consuming an alcoholic beverage in a barracks, and as*835sault consummated by a battery upon another Marine “about the head and body with his body by tieing [sic] his arm to a chair, by punching and kicking him, by using a toilet brush to scrub boot polish and shaving cream in his face and by forcing his head into the toilet and flushing the toilet.” After…
