This case has been referred to the undersigned by Hon. William M. Skretny for all pretrial matters, including the hearing and disposition of non-dispositive motions, in accordance with 28 U.S.C. § 636(b)(1)(A). Defendant has moved to compel the production of documents as to which plaintiff has assert*433ed attorney-client privilege and/or work product protection. What follows is this court’s ruling on certain issues which the parties agree will significantly narrow the discovery dispute addressed by defendant’s pending motion.
