This is a duty of fair representation and • breach of contract action brought by plaintiff Jimmy Nanney against his union, Local 1183 of the United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (the “Union”), and his employer, Chrysler Corporation. At issue is the settlement by the Union and Chrysler of a grievance against Chrysler filed by the Union on plaintiff’s behalf.
