MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

JOINER, District Judge.

This is a ease involving sex discrimination in employment. Plaintiffs are 135 women who are or have been employed by the defendant in the job classification of Engineering Layout Clerk. Defendant, Michigan Bell Telephone Company, is a Michigan corporation with its principal office in Detroit. The defendant is alleged to have paid wages and given promotions inferior to the wages and promotions received by plaintiffs’ male counterparts, employed by the defendant in the job classification of Field Assistant, solely on the grounds of plaintiffs’…
