Plaintiff prayed specific performance of a contract to sell him a certain piece of real estate, on the exercise of an option, “at any time within......five years,......for $23,000, less $2,500 [already] paid defendant.” The bill avers plaintiff notified defendant, within the required time, of a desire to exercise the option and that he was ready and willing to pay the “balance of purchase money [due on the real estate,] less the liens and charges against the same,” but defendant refused to accept “any sum of money” from plaintiff and refused to perform…
