HENNESSY, J.

In this premises liability action, the plaintiff, David Abramczyk, appeals from the judgment rendered following the granting of a motion for a directed verdict in favor of the defendant, Stephanie Abbey.1 The plaintiff claims that the trial court improp*444erly (1) ruled that the defendant owed no duty of care with respect to a defect on land within the defendant’s possession and control, and (2) directed a verdict for the defendant. We affirm the judgment of the trial court.
