Henry W. Batts and wife, doing business as Batts Construction Co. (Batts), as general contractor, agreed to construct a truck sales and service building for Kenworth Northwest Sales & Service, Inc. (Kenworth). After construction of the facility was completed, The Brower Co., a subcontractor, brought a lien foreclosure action against Kenworth, the owner of the property, Batts, the general contractor, and other subcontractors, including United Plumbing & Heating, Inc.
