This proceeding was -brought under chapter 298, 3 Comp. Laws, providing “for the collection of demands against water craft.” The complainant was engaged, at the city of Grand Rapids, in the manufacture of marine engines, and other machinery, doing business as the Grand Rapids Gas Engine & Yacht Company. The action was begun to recover the balance claimed to be due complainant from defendant Elizabeth Eaglesfield, for a certain engine, material, accessories, and equipment furnished by complainant to defendant in and about the original building, fitting, furnishing, and equipping of the boat…
