This is an appeal from a judgment directing the issuance of a writ of mandate to compel the defendant corporation to permit an inspection by plaintiff, a stockholder in said corporation, of certain books and records thereof. During the pendency of this appeal, the defendant corporation applied for a writ of supersedeas, which application was denied. (Homestake Mining Co. v. Superior Court, 11 Cal. App. (2d) 488 [54 Pac.
