Mark Travis, the appellant, was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm in violation of Ark. Code Ann. § 5-73-103(a)(l) (Repl. 1997). Mr. Travis contended his arrest was unlawful and that evidence (the firearm) seized as a result of his arrest should have been suppressed. The Trial Court denied the motion to suppress, and Mr. Travis entered a conditional plea of guilty pursuant to Ark. R. Crim.
