In this civil rights action, brought pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983, the plaintiff and her parents seek redress from the Che-mung County Department of Social Services and two of its employees for the allegedly warrantless removal of the plaintiff, then an infant of seven months, from the custody of her natural parents and her subsequent placement in foster care for a period of about one week.
