The defendant, Tania Thomas, appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-59 (a) (2) and assault in the third degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-61 (a) (l). On appeal, the defendant claims that the trial court improperly precluded her from presenting relevant evidence and cross-examining witnesses.
