A jury found that Foremost Insurance Company (“Foremost”) engaged in illegal age discrimination when it fired the plaintiff, Richard Christie, and replaced him with a younger, less experienced employee. Foremost concedes that Christie established a prima facie case of age discrimination, but argues that Christie failed to present sufficient evidence that Foremost’s proffered nondiscriminatory explanation was merely a pretext.
