The plaintiff, the commissioner of the department of labor, brought this action pursuant to General Statutes § 31-72,1 on behalf of Marjorie Skid-more against the defendants, Hartford Technical Institute, Inc. (Hartec), and its president, Robert Meyers, *456to collect unpaid overtime wages allegedly owed to Skidmore by the defendants.
