This appeal1 arises out of an action brought by the plaintiff employees2 against the named defendant, Lawrence Brunoli, Inc., and certain of its *214officers,3 wherein the plaintiffs alleged that, with respect to three separate public works construction projects at the Oliver Wolcott School in Torrington (Wolcott School), the University of Connecticut in Storrs (UCONN), and the Cedarcrest Hospital in Newington, the defendants had failed to pay the plaintiffs the proper prevailing wages and fringe benefits in accordance with General Statutes § 31-53,4 and over*215time wages as…
