This was an action to foreclose a mortgage, and for a personal judgment against one of the mortgagors. The complaint alleges that George W. Dawson executed four promissory notes of seven hundred and fifty dollars each payable to the order of Bayliss, Vaughan, & Co.; that he and' his wife executed a mortgage upon certain real estate, machinery, etc., for a saw-mill, in Wells county; that the notes had all been endorsed in writing to the appellee; that a part of them were due and unpaid.
