Mrs. Pauline Schneider brought suit against Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, to recover on a policy of insurance issued by the defendant on the life of her husband. The policy provided that should the insured die as the direct result of bodily injury effected solely through external, violent, and acci dental causes, the insurer would pay to the beneficiary double the face amount or value of the policy.
