Veronica Findlay, the plaintiff in this civil action, seeks damages and declaratory relief under the Truth in Lending Act (“TILA”), 15 U.S.C. § 1601 (2006), the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (“RESPA”), 12 U.S.C. § 2601 (2006), the District of Columbia Consumer Protection Procedures Act (“CPPA”), D.C.Code § 28-3901 (2007), and District of Columbia common law for harms allegedly incurred as a result of the defendants’ “abusive mortgage refinancing practices.” See Complaint (“Compl.”) ¶¶ 3-8, 191-98.
