The plaintiff, Judith Carter, brought this lawsuit in the D.C. Superior Court against Bank of America, N.A. (“Bank of America” or “BOA”), Freedom Mortgage Corporation (“Freedom Mortgage”), the Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc.
