The Clara Poppic Trust (“the Trust”) is owner of commercial property located at 2531 Telegraph Ave., Berkeley, California (“Property”), the site of a dry cleaning business known as Cal Cleaners. In 2006, the Trust allegedly discovered that the Property was contaminated with perchloroethylene (“PCE”), a chemical used in dry cleaning operations.
