Plaintiff Encyclopaedia Britannica, Inc. (“Britannica”) commenced this patent infringement action alleging that defendants Magellan Navigation, Inc. (“Magellan”), TomTom, Inc. (“TomTom”) and American TV & Appliance of Madison, Inc. (“American TV”) have infringed on Britannica’s United States Patent numbers 7,051,018 and 7,082,437 (hereinafter the ’018 patent and the ’437 patent) as infringement is defined under 35 U.S.C. § 271. Jurisdiction is based on 28 U.S.C. §§ 1331 and 1338(a). The matter is presently before the Court on defendants’…
