The National Oil Company and other defendants and cross-complainants have appealed from a judgment quieting title in plaintiff to an oil and gas leasehold interest in a certain right of way of the East Side Canal Company in the southeast quarter of the northeast quarter of the northwest quarter of section 30 south, range 29 east, in Kern County, containing 2.17 acres of land. A canal occupies a portion of this right of way. The appellants hold an oil lease to 40 acres of land adjoining the right of way in dispute in the same section above referred to.
