OPINION
Before MERRILL and KENNEDY, Circuit Judges, and ENRIGHT, * District Judge. ANTHONY M. KENNEDY, Circuit Judge.
This action was brought to compel recognition of seniority rights asserted by previous employees in a brewery being reopened by the purchaser Falstaff Brewing Corporation. The district court entered judgment on the pleadings for Falstaff. We affirm for the reasons stated below.
The plaintiffs were brewery workers who found themselves without employment in January 1972 when Meister Brau, Inc., closed its Burgermeister plant in San Francisco and filed bankruptcy proceedings. In…
