COOK, Judge:

Tried by a general court-martial composed of officer and enlisted members, the accused was convicted, pursuant to his pleas, of rape, in violation of Article 120, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 920. The sentence adjudged was a dishonorable discharge, confinement at hard labor for 10 years, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and reduction to Private E-l. In accordance with a pretrial agreement, the convening authority approved only so much of the sentence as provided for a dishonorable discharge, confinement at hard labor for 4 years,…
