LEWIS, Judge:

The appellant was found guilty of premeditated murder, felony murder, and rape in violation of Articles 118 and 120, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 918 and 920 (1976), and was sentenced to a dishonorable discharge, confinement at hard labor for life, and forfeiture of all pay and allowances.
