KELLY, Associate Judge:

Appellants Miles and Palmer were convicted by a jury of second-degree burglary, arson, destruction of property valued in excess of $200.00, and the manufacture of Molotov cocktails. 1 Miles asserts on appeal that the trial judge erred in refusing to permit cross-examination of the government’s chief witness, Detective Carl C. Stump, about his role in a previous trial for possession of narcotics in which Miles was acquitted.
