Facts

Defendant, Kazuo G., a juvenile, was charged in an original petition filed in March 1991 with six offenses. Defendant admitted two of the felony offenses and the two misdemeanors. The remaining counts were dismissed. The juvenile court committed defendant to a county institution for up to six months but “suspended” the commitment and placed defendant on probation with various conditions. At a review hearing held three months later, the court set aside the “suspended” commitment.
