The plaintiff commenced an action against the defendants to obtain a judgment for damages alleged to have been caused by injuries inflicted by an automobile. The jury brought in a verdict in favor of the plaintiff and from the judgment entered thereon the defendants have appealed.

At about 3 o’clock in the afternoon on the twelfth day of January, 1922, the collision occurred on the east side of Ashbury Street between Waller and Haight Streets, in San Francisco.
