The defendant planning and zoning commission of the town of Ridgefield (commission) appeals from the judgment of the trial court sustaining the plaintiffs’1 administrative appeal from the commission’s decision to amend the subdivision regulations and master plan of the code of ordinances of the town of Ridgefield on the ground that the commission exceeded its statutory authority. On appeal, the commission claims that the court improperly sustained the plaintiffs’ appeal because General Statutes § 8-25 grants it the authority to enact the challenged subdivision regulations.…
