This is an action to recover damages for personal injuries. Plaintiff, a woman 49 years of age, alleges that on April 28, 1929, at about seven-thirty in the evening, she was struck by an automobile owned and operated by the defendant company, while she was walking in a northerly direction across Washington street where it intersects Fifth street in the city of Portland.
