Plaintiff sustained injuries as a result of falling on a defective sidewalk in defendant city, and sued in circuit court to recover damages. The accident happened on November 26, 1952, at about 12:15 p.m. Plaintiff, a woman, at the time 67 years of age, left her place of employment at a local factory and walked along the east side of South "Washington street in Owosso toward a restaurant at which she intended to obtain a lunch.
