This is an appeal by the defendant from a judgment against it for fifteen thousand dollars upon two policies of fire insurance.

The facts as found by the court are: On November 28, 1920, and for more than four years prior thereto, the plaintiff was engaged in the business of selling and buying new and second-hand goods, wares, and merchandise, consisting of household goods, men’s furnishings, etc., at the city of Calexico, county of Imperial, California.
