This is an attempt to appeal from a decision of the district court in a proceeding for the recovery of compensation under the recently enacted workmen’s compensation act (chapter 232 of the Laws of 1927).

Elmer Norman, an employee of the Consolidated Cement Company, was accidentally injured in the course of his employment and made a claim for compensation. Both parties were within the provisions of the act. The company had notice of the injury within ten days of the accident and a written claim for compensation was made within ninety…
