The sole issue in this workers’ compensation appeal is whether the plaintiff, Sylvia N. Kuehl, was precluded from obtaining survivor’s benefits under General Statutes § 31-306 (a)1 because she had failed to file a notice of claim for compensation either with her deceased husband’s employer, the named defendant, ZLoda Systems Engineering, Inc.
