This action was brought by a member of the California Club, a bona fide social organization existing in the city of Los Angeles, to enjoin the selling or serving of liquors by the club to its members and their guests, upon the ground that by making such sales the club is violating the provisions of an ordinance of the city of Los Angeles requiring the payment of a license fee by all persons engaged in the business of retail liquor dealers.
