Plaintiffs filed a petition in the circuit court for Wayne county for a writ of mandamus to compel the department of public works, building and safety division of the city of Dearborn to issue a building permit to plaintiffs for the erection of an automatic ear wash building at 22643 Ford road in the city of Dearborn, Wayne county, Michigan.

Plaintiffs are the owners of the above-described property which consists of 3 lots. The lots front on Ford road, with a combined frontage of 81.4 feet and a depth of 90 feet to a 20-foot alley on the south. Immediately south of the alley is a vacant lot…
