In this zoning case, the council of the Village of Michiana, sitting as the zoning board of appeals, denied plaintiff’s request for a building permit on the ground that his lot failed to meet the width requirement of the local zoning ordinance. The board’s decision was affirmed by the circuit court. We granted leave to determine whether the Court of Appeals applied the proper standard of review when it reversed the decision of the circuit court. We conclude that, while the standard was misstated, the Court of Appeals panel reached the correct result. We affirm, but remand the case for further…
