¶1 American Seafoods Co. LLC and Northern Hawk LLC (collectively ASC) appeal a judgment *533for maintenance, compensatory damages, and attorney fees awarded because they failed to pay maintenance and cure to Tuyen Thanh Mai. ASC contends it had no obligation to pay maintenance and cure during the period of time Mai refused to attend an independent medical examination (IME) as requested by ASC. ASC also asserts that insufficient evidence supports the trial court’s award of compensatory damages and attorney fees.
